The Birkhofer Racing team wrapped up their version of the 2011
racing season on October 28-29 at the Magnolia Motor Speedway
in Columbus, Mississippi. Brian Birkhofer came into "The
Mag" as the defending winner of the $15,000 to win 'Cotton
Pickin 100.' On Friday night, Brian laid down the sixth fastest
lap in his group during qualifying and later ran second in his
loaded heat race. The Muscatine, Iowa ace then rolled off twelfth
on the grid in Saturday's 100-lapper. Brian sported a fast racecar
in his season finale and worked his way by seven competitors en
route to a strong fifth place performance. The driver known as
the "Muscatine Madman" followed only winner Jonathan
Davenport, Shane Clanton, Billy Moyer, and Scott Bloomquist to
the checkers at Magnolia. Full results from the 'Cotton Pickin

Brian Birkhofer and his #15b team invaded the Whynot Motorsports
Park in Meridian, Mississippi on October 21-22 looking for their
third 'Fall Classic' title. On Friday night during preliminary
action, Brian timed in third fastest in his group during qualifying
and later won his heat race. After rolling off from the inside
of the second row in the 100-lap feature event on Saturday, Brian
had his sights firmly set on the lucrative $15,000 top prize.
While his car did not perform as expected throughout the 'Fall
Classic,' the Muscatine, Iowa standout was still able to hang
around the top five and eventually notched a solid third place
effort behind only winner Jonathan Davenport and runner-up Dennis
Erb, Jr. Complete results from Whynot can be located online at

The
Birkhofer Racing team returned to action on October 14-15 at the
newly renamed Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio, as the Lucas Oil
Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned the 31st Annual 'Dirt Track
World Championship.' The $50,000 to win crown jewel event drew
a healthy ninety car field to the south-central Ohio facility.
Due to persistent rain showers on Friday night, the entire show
was condensed into a one-day program starting Saturday afternoon.
Brian Birkhofer laid down the twelfth fastest lap
in his group during the qualifying session on Saturday and later
grabbed the third transfer spot in his stacked heat race. With
passing at an extreme premium all day and with no track prep,
Brian opted to pull into the infield early in the 100-lap DTWC
after starting seventeenth. The Muscatine, Iowa native wound up
twenty-sixth in the final rundown. Complete results from the Atomic
Speedway can be accessed online at www.lucasdirt.com.

the 1/2-mile complex. Brian timed in second fastest during qualifying,
won his heat race, and later finished fourth in the 25-lapper
behind only winner Jimmy Owens, Darrell Lanigan, and Austin Hubbard.
The Muscatine, Iowa native then won his heat race and led laps
3-25 of the A-Main on Friday evening to claim his sixth checkered
flag of the 2011 season. Brian beat Darrell Lanigan, Will Vaught,

to collect the $7,000 payday!

of the SPEED Channel, the driver known as the "Muscatine
Madman" ran amongst the top five throughout the $40,000 to
win crown jewel event. Looking for his second 'Knoxville Nationals'
title, Brian came up a mere few spots shy of achieving his ultimate
