LUCAS OIL LATE MODEL KNOXVILLE NATIONALS RESULTS...
(September 27, 2014) In what can best be described as a fairytale ending to his 2014 racing season and perhaps his career, Brian Birkhofer came out on top of a thrilling 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals' tonight to bag $40,000 at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa! Brian started on the pole in the 100-lap grind and led the first thirty circuits aboard his #15b Rocket / Vic Hill machine. After Darrell Lanigan took the top spot for ten laps, Brian then paced the stellar field from laps 41-61. In front of a huge home state crowd and the television cameras of the Lucas Oil Production Studios, Brian then made a pass for the ages on leader Scott Bloomquist coming out of turn four on the final lap to secure his second 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals' title over Bloomquist, Mike Marlar, Jimmy Mars, and Don O'Neal!!! (September 26, 2014) Brian Birkhofer reached victory lane for the sixth time in the 2014 racing season tonight in round two of the 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals' at Knoxville (IA) Raceway! Brian knocked down the fifth fastest lap in Group B during the time trial session prior to placing second in heat race action. After rolling off from the outside of the second row in the 25-lap headliner, Brian grabbed the lead from Rodney Sanders on lap 14 and led the remaining circuits during the caution-free affair. (September 25, 2014) The Birkhofer Racing team stormed into the hallowed grounds of Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa tonight for what is probably their last racing weekend of the 2014 season. Brian Birkhofer, who is debuting a new Vic Hill Racing Engine underneath the hood, competed for the $7,000 top prize in the opening night of the 11th Annual 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals.' After timing in fifth quickest in Group B during the qualifying session, Brian ran second in his loaded heat race to earn the fourth starting spot in the 25-lap sprint. The Muscatine, Iowa standout then hung around the front of the field throughout the distance and eventually crossed underneath the checkers third behind only race winner Jonathan Davenport and runner-up Darrell Lanigan.

Brian Birkhofer and his #15b team traveled to Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri on September 12-13 for a pair of $10,000 to win UMP DIRTcar Series programs, which were dubbed together as the 'St. Louis Showdown.' On Friday night at Granite City, Brian timed in second quickest in his group during qualifying, finished second in his heat race, and later climbed six spots during the 50-lap feature event. The Muscatine, Iowa ace scored a strong runner-up performance behind only victor Billy Moyer, Jr. At Pevely on Saturday evening, Brian qualified third fastest in his group during time trials, ran third in his heat race, and later posted a tenth place effort in the 40-lap headliner. BIRKHOFER ENTERS 44TH ANNUAL WORLD 100 AT ELDORA
(September 7, 2014)
Birkhofer Racing rolled into the hallowed grounds of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from September 4-6 for the 44th edition of the 'World 100.' Things kicked off at the "Big E" on Thursday and Friday with a pair of Twin 25 preliminary programs, each of which paid $5,000 to the winner. On Thursday night, Brian Birkhofer ran second in his heat race prior to vaulting up to fourth in his 25-lap feature to finish behind only winner Dale McDowell, Randy Weaver, and Gregg Satterlee. At Eldora on Friday evening, Brian once again placed second in his heat race and later moved all the way up to third in the 25-lapper to trail only victor Jonathan Davenport and runner-up Scott Bloomquist.

When Saturday arrived at the 1/2-mile, high-banked speedplant, Brian had his focus set solely on another globe trophy and the hefty $47,000 payday. The Muscatine, Iowa star was headed to an apparent heat race triumph and a spot towards the front in the 'World 100' until terminal motor problems relegated Brian to a devastating seventeenth place finish. BRIAN BIRKHOFER HEADS EAST WITH LUCAS OIL SERIES
(September 1, 2014)
Brian Birkhofer and his #15b team headed east with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to compete in a trio of high-profile events in the states of Ohio and West Virginia from August 29-31. On Friday night at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, a $10,000 top prize was on the line in the first leg of the busy Labor Day holiday weekend. Brian timed in third quickest in Group B during qualifying and later ran second in heat race action. After starting the 50-lap headliner from the outside of the third row, Brian was eventually credited with a solid seventh place performance at Attica.

Saturday's show took place at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio, as the annual running of the 'Pepsi 50 River Days Rumble' also boasted a $10,000 payday. Brian knocked down the twelfth fastest lap in Group B during time trials, ran second in his heat race, and later started the 50-lapper from the outside of the fourth row. The Muscatine, Iowa standout crossed the finish line in the ninth position in the 'Pepsi 50 River Days Rumble' at PRP. Unfortunately, his tripleheader weekend did not end on a positive note, as Brian scratched from the 46th Annual 'Hillbilly 100' with problems following time trials. Brian was not able to compete for the $25,000 winner's check on Sunday evening at I-77 Raceway Park in Ripley, West Virginia. BIRKHOFER AN EARLY RETIREE IN $40K TOPLESS 100...

Birkhofer Racing invaded Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas on August 15-16 for the 22nd edition of the 'Topless 100.' On Friday night, Brian Birkhofer knocked down the fastest lap in Group B during qualifying and later scored the victory in his heat race over Billy Moyer, Jr. and Bub McCool. After drawing the outside of the front row prior to Saturday's $40,000 to win crown jewel main event, Brian unfortunately got into the backstretch wall on the first circuit and was forced to retire from the 100-lapper. The Muscatine, Iowa standout was relegated to a very disappointing twenty-seventh place effort in this year's version of the 'Topless 100.' Brian Birkhofer and his #15b team racked up their fifth feature win of the 2014 racing season tonight at the nearby West Liberty Raceway in West Liberty, Iowa! A special 'Tornado Tuesday' event was held tonight and 22 competitors piled into the Hawkeye State pit area. Brian won his heat race in preliminary action and dominated much of the 50-lap feature event. The Muscatine, Iowa star picked up the $10,000 payday in beating Chris Simpson, Jason Feger, Chad Simpson, and Dave Eckrich to the checkers! BIRKHOFER INVADES CEDAR LAKE FOR USA NATIONALS

Brian Birkhofer and the Birkhofer Racing team trekked north to the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin on July 31-August 2 for the 27th edition of the 'USA Nationals.' Things kicked off at Cedar Lake on Thursday night with a $6,000 to win program, which was sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. Brian timed in sixteenth fastest in Group A during qualifying and later finished fifth in his heat race and second in his B-Main. After starting from the outside of the eleventh row in the 40-lap feature, Brian wound up sixteenth in the final rundown of the caution-free affair.

At CLS on Friday evening, Brian knocked down the fifth quickest lap in Group B during WOOLMS time trials prior to grabbing the second transfer spot through his stacked heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the sixth row in Saturday's $50,000 to win 'USA Nationals,' the Muscatine, Iowa native had his sights set on a strong run in the 100-lap crown jewel event. Unfortunately, Brian retired after only eleven laps and was relegated to a disappointing twenty-eighth place performance. BRIAN BIRKHOFER BUSY AT INDEPENDENCE & FAIRBURY

The 25th edition of the 'Prairie Dirt Classic' came to a close tonight at Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois and a $25,000 top prize was on the line in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series extravaganza. Brian Birkhofer started the 100-lap extra-distance affair from the outside of the eighth row and eventually garnered a seventeenth place performance in the action-packed PDC.

(July 25, 2014) Following Independence, Brian Birkhofer and his #15b team bolted overnight to Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois for the opening night of the 25th Annual 'Prairie Dirt Classic,' as well as the rain-postponed UMP Summer Nationals feature from back on June 21. Brian started from the outside of the second row in the $10,000 to win main event, but wound up slipping back to tenth at the finish of the 50-lap affair. In preliminary action for the 'Prairie Dirt Classic,' Brian laid down the tenth fastest lap in Group B during World of Outlaws Late Model Series qualifying prior to grabbing the third and final transfer spot through his loaded heat race.

(July 24, 2014) The Birkhofer Racing team pulled into the pit area tonight at Independence Motor Speedway in Independence, Iowa, as the Hawkeye State venue greeted the World of Outlaws Late Model Series with a $10,000 to win program. Brian Birkhofer posted the fifteenth fastest lap during the qualifying session and later scored a fifth place finish in heat race action. After starting the 50-lap main event from the inside of the eighth row, Brian was able to climb four spots on his way to an eleventh place showing.


BIRKHOFER BAGS RUNNER-UP IN SILVER DOLLAR NATIONALS!

Brian Birkhofer and his #15b team strolled into I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska on July 18-19 for the 4th edition of the 'Silver Dollar Nationals.' The unique program, which was once again sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, kicked off on Friday with a double set of heat races. Brian ran second in his first heat race, while he blasted past eight competitors during his second prelim to once again finish in the runner-up position. By virtue of racking up the fourth most points on Friday night, Brian rolled off from the outside of the second row in Saturday's $30,000 to win headliner. During the course of the 80-lap 'Silver Dollar Nationals,' the Muscatine, Iowa star vaulted to as high as second to eventually garner an impressive runner-up showing behind only victor Scott Bloomquist. PAIR OF TOP FIVES FOR BIRKY AT GRANITE CITY & BURLINGTON

Birkhofer Racing ventured to Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa on July 11-12 for a pair of lucrative $10,000 to win events. On Friday night at Granite City, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presided over the annual running of the 'Battle at the Beach 50.' Brian Birkhofer ran third in heat race action, which lined him up starting from the outside of the sixth row in the 50-lap headliner. During the course of the race, which was taped by the television cameras of the Lucas Oil Production Studios, Brian picked off eight competitors en route to a stellar fourth place performance behind only winner Don O'Neal, Scott Bloomquist, and Jimmy Owens.

The dirt-slinging competition quickly shifted to Burlington on Saturday evening, as the cars and stars of the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals strolled into town. The Muscatine, Iowa star then drew the outside of the second row for the start of the 40-lap headliner and quickly made his way to the front to grab the lead on lap eleven. Brian Birkhofer posted the fastest lap in Group A during the time trial session and later scored the win in his heat race over Brian Shirley, Rich Bell, and Greg Kimmons. After drawing the outside of the front row for the start of the 40-lapper, Brian faded back to as far as seventh early in the race before making a late charge. (June 27, 2014) Tonight's stop on the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals trail, scheduled for Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky, has been rained-out, series officials announced this afternoon. The annual 'Chris Smith Memorial,' which was slated to pay $10,000 to the winner, will not be rescheduled as part of the "Hell Tour."

(June 21, 2014) Brian Birkhofer and his #15b team followed the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals trail to Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois tonight for another $10,000 to win battle. Brian timed in fourth quickest in Group B during qualifying and later scored the win in heat race action. Night one of the 16th Annual 'Masters' took place tonight at CLS and a $5,000 payday was on the line. Brian Birkhofer qualified second fastest in Group B during time trials and later finished second in heat race action behind only prelim victor Rodney Sanders. (June 6, 2014) Muscatine, Iowa star Brian Birkhofer emerged victorious tonight in a photo finish in the second prelim night for the 'Dirt Late Model Dream' at Eldora Speedway! Brian qualified thirty-first quickest during the time trial session prior to scoring a heat race triumph over R.J. Conley, Chris Simpson, and Davey Johnson. After starting his Twin 25 from the pole position, Brian actually ran second through much of the 25-lap distance behind outside polesitter Rick Eckert. However, it was "Birky" time on the final circuit, as he crossed under Eckert coming off of turn four and was declared the $5,000 winner after several minutes of officials reviewing all video and camera angles. Behind Brian at the finish line was Eckert (by inches), Billy Moyer, Shannon Babb, and Kent Robinson!!!

Brian Birkhofer clicked off the sixth fastest lap during the qualifying session and later placed third in his loaded heat race behind only prelim winner Bobby Pierce and runner-up Jeep Van Wormer. After starting his 25-lap feature event from the inside of the sixth row, Brian picked off four competitors to claim a solid seventh place effort in the weekend opener.


BIRKHOFER POCKETS $5,000 AT FEDERATED RACEWAY AT I-55!!!

Brian Birkhofer Racing picked up their first feature win of the 2014 racing season on Saturday night, May 31 at Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri! The MARS DIRTcar Series roared into the St. Louis area venue and a strong field of cars were present in the pit area. Brian Birkhofer won his heat race from the pole position and later rolled off from the outside of the second row in the 40-lap feature event. The Muscatine, Iowa ace then passed leader Billy Moyer for the point on lap 32 and led the remainder of the distance to score the $5,000 payday over Moyer, Randy Korte, Billy Moyer, Jr., and Jason Feger!

On Friday evening, May 30, the #15b team wound up in the pit area at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois for the 'Douglas Dodge 50.' The American Late Model Series (ALMS) presided over the show, which also boasted a $5,000 top prize. Brian timed in fourth quickest in his group during qualifying prior to claiming the fourth transfer spot in his heat race. After starting the 50-lap main event from the outside of the eighth row, Brian stormed past fourteen competitors to record an impressive runner-up showing behind only victor Brandon Sheppard.
