Brian Birkhofer and the Birkhofer Racing team wrapped up their busy three-race Mid-Atlantic swing with the NDRL tour tonight with the rain-postponed 'Gunters Honey 50' at Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Virginia. Brian started off his evening by posting the thirteenth fastest lap in Group B during the qualifying session and later advanced into the $10,000 to win main event by virtue of finishing third in his B-Main. After rolling off from the outside of the eleventh row in the 50-lap race, the Muscatine, Iowa star rallied past eight racecars en route to a fourteenth place showing.

(April 12, 2014) The #15b team resumed their Mid-Atlantic swing with the National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) tonight at the pristine Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, Virginia, as the Aaron's 'King of the Commonwealth' was held and a hefty $20,000 top prize was on the line. Brian Birkhofer clicked off the tenth fastest lap in Group B during the qualifying session prior to placing seventh in his heat race and second in his B-Main. After starting the 60-lap feature event from the outside of the tenth row, Brian was able to move up a few spots to finish sixteenth in the final rundown.

(April 11, 2014) Early morning showers with more rain in the afternoon and evening hours expected have forced Winchester Speedway and NDRL officials to postpone tonight's $10,000 to win 'Gunters Honey 50' at Winchester (VA) Speedway. Officials have announced that Sunday, April 13 will be used as the rain date with gates opening at 2:00pm and hot laps beginning at 6:00pm. The NDRL "Kings of Dirt" will next be in action on Saturday, April 12 at Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, Virginia for the $20,000 to win Aaron's 'King of the Commonwealth.'

(April 10, 2014) The Birkhofer Racing team trekked east to compete in a huge tripleheader sanctioned by the National Dirt Racing League (NDRL). The trio of high-profile races kicked off tonight at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial, Pennsylvania with the $10,000 to win 'PENNational.' Brian Birkhofer knocked down the third fastest lap in Group B during the qualifying session and later powered to a heat race triumph. After drawing the third starting spot prior to the 50-lapper, Brian sported a fast Rocket racecar throughout the distance and eventually claimed a close runner-up effort behind only victor Steve Francis.

(April 7, 2014)
Brian Birkhofer and his #15b team ventured to I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska on April 5-6 for the 'Spring Meltdown,' which was co-sanctioned by the Corn Belt Clash and Lucas Oil MLRA tours. On Saturday night in the weekend opener, Brian ran second in his heat race and later started the $3,000 to win feature event from the outside of the third row. The Muscatine, Iowa star was then able to pick off a couple of competitors during the 35-lapper en route to a solid fourth place showing behind only winner Terry Phillips, Tommy Weder, Jr., and Brad Looney.

At I-80 Speedway on Sunday evening, the two-day 'Spring Meltdown' wrapped up with a $2,000 to win showdown. Brian finished fourth in heat race action, which locked him into the outside of the fifth row in the 30-lap main event. "Birky" was then on a rail during the A-Main, as he blitzed past eight racecars on his way to an impressive runner-up performance behind only victor Rodney Sanders. Birkhofer Racing opened up their 2014 campaign on Saturday evening, March 29 in the 3rd Annual 'Thaw Brawl' at LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois! The UMP DIRTcar Series and American Late Model Series (ALMS) presided over the big program, which boasted a hefty $15,000 payday. Brian Birkhofer, who debuted a new Rocket racecar at the 1/4-mile bullring, laid down the fastest lap in his group during time trials prior to finishing fourth in his heat race after hitting a few holes the wrong way. The Muscatine, Iowa native then started the 75-lapper from the outside of the eighth row, but was an early victim in the attrition-filled race. After deciding to once again skip Arizona and Florida early in the 2014 season, Brian Birkhofer announced today that he is eyeing the 3rd Annual 'Thaw Brawl' to unload his #15b for the first time this year. The LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois will hold the two-day extravaganza on March 28-29 and the American Late Model Series (ALMS) will preside over the dirt-slinging action. A $2,000 top prize will be on the line in Friday's weekend opener, while a whopping $15,000 payday will be up for grabs in Saturday's big finale.
